신호등 (traffic light) is a perfect symbol for life:

  • Stop vs. Go → 멈추다 vs. 가다
  • Waiting and timing → 기다리다
  • Feeling unsure → 헷갈리다

1) -아/어야 하다 (must / have to)

Use when you “must” do something.

지금 가야해요. = I have to go now.

오늘은 쉬어야 해요. = I must rest today.

-는 것 같아요 (I think / it seems)

Use when you are not 100% sure.
