Knock Knock Take a Break #5

๐ŸŽˆ Reading Practice (with Batchim)

Hello, everyone! This is Soo from Play the Korean.
Today we practice reading with batchim.

1) Word Reading

๋ฐฅ · ์ฑ… · ๊ฝƒ · ์ง‘ · ํ•œ๊ตญ · ํ•™๊ต

Read slowly. Feel the final consonant.

2) Phrase Reading

๋ฐฅ์„ ๋จน์–ด์š”. have  rice
์ฑ…์„ ์ฝ์–ด์š”. read a book
ํ•œ๊ตญ์–ด๋ฅผ ๊ณต๋ถ€ํ•ด์š”. study Korean

Notice the sound change when a vowel follows batchim.

3) Short Sentence Reading

๋‚˜๋Š” ํ•œ๊ตญ์–ด๋ฅผ ๊ณต๋ถ€ํ•ด์š”. (I study Korean.)
์˜ค๋Š˜์€ ํ•™๊ต์— ๊ฐ€์š”. (I go to school today)
์ง‘์—์„œ ์ฑ…์„ ์ฝ์–ด์š”. (I read a book at home)

Read slowly → naturally → confidently.

4) Shadowing Practice ๐ŸŽง

1️⃣ Press play ▶️ and listen once.
2️⃣ Repeat slowly.
3️⃣ Speak together with the audio.

Practice 5 minutes every day!

You can now read basic Korean sentences! ๐Ÿ‘
