π Basic Korean Vowels
| Vowel | Sound | Similar English Sound |
|---|---|---|
| γ | a | father |
| γ | eo | uh (soft o) |
| γ | o | go |
| γ | u | blue |
| γ ‘ | eu | no direct English sound |
| γ £ | i | see |
Korean vowels are built using simple lines: • Vertical line (γ £) • Horizontal line (γ ‘) • Dot/short line added to show sound direction Once you understand this pattern, vowels become much easier!
π€ Let’s Combine!
Now let’s combine consonants and vowels:
- γ± + γ = κ° (ga)
- γ΄ + γ = λ (na)
- γ + γ = 보 (bo)
- γ + γ = 무 (mu)
π₯ K-Knockee: See? Korean letters are like Lego blocks!
π΅ Vowels in K-POP Names
- μμ΄μ (IU) → γ + γ £ + γ
- λ‘μ (RosΓ©) → γ + γ
